I had the security guard hold my legs so I could lean out over the ledge to take this shot of the Avenue of Americas.

The Flatiron building just south of the Empire State Building. You can see that the front corner of the building is under construction.

The Henry Hudson and beyond that, New Jersey.

A shot of the Chrysler Building taken from atop the Empire State Building. You can see the 59th Street Bridge behind and to the right and Queens in the background.

This is the very top of a New York City administrative building in lower Manhattan. Makes me want to be an 'administrator'.

This shot of downtown Manhattan was taken from the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Manhattan Bridge with the Empire State Building in the background. (thanks for the correction, Chris)

Stepping onto the Brooklyn Bridge.

These monuments were at least 20 feet tall. We found them purely by accident on our way to the Brooklyn Bridge.

This is the right side of the monument.

From the front. It has a 'Lord of the Rings' feel to it.

WWII Memorial in Brooklyn Heights.

Another good shot with Jason Giambi in the foreground, Bernie at the plate. I think this was taken in 2003, Giambi's second year with the Yankees. Bernie seems to make it into all my good shots.

This is my absolute favorite picture from Yankee stadium. I took it with my old digital camera but it still looks great. This was taken when Bernie Williams was still hitting consistently well so its at least 4 years old. I have yet to take my new camera to the Stadium (just got it for Christmas) but I'm hoping to get a few more shots as good as this or better this season. This picture makes it look like I have a press pass or something but the seats my family gets sometimes are really good; right behind the Yankee dugout.
(as always, click the picture for an enlarged version)

This is one I took a few years ago at Yankee Stadium when the Red Sox were in town. That's Jeter at the plate and Bernie on deck.

My exit off the BQE. Traffic, of course.

Shot of Manhattan from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade

and another in color.

The Brooklyn Bridge.

Manhattan skyline.

With the sun fully set, the lights come out.

One last night shot.

The woods behind my house in CT. If you look closely, you may get bored.

Note: That band of haze isn't fog. It's the reflection off the window I took the picture through. I'm not very good.

Work in progress........

With a new Canon PowerShot digital camera at my disposal I will be uploading pictures to this blog as often as possible; pictures of family, friends, and dogs wearing funny hats......

EDIT: More likely, the pictures added to this site will be of scenic shots of New York and pictures I take at Yankee Stadium. And possibly dogs with funny hats too....... (1/24/06)
